The Most Common Questions Reiki Healers Are Asked

There may be questions that have been posted to you or that you have posed to others. And these aren't all of the questions I get; if they were, the post would be way too long!

If you're an aspiring healer, someone who wants to learn more about Reiki, or someone who needs more knowledge on specific topics, I hope this guide will answer your questions. Let's get this party underway.

What is Reiki and how does it work?

Reiki was developed as an energy balancing system by Mikao Usui in the early twentieth century. Reiki focuses on the energy of the Seven Chakras to help bring equilibrium, positivity, and radiant light to one's energetic field, Chakras, and aura.

People study and use Reiki to treat a number of illnesses that affect the body, mind, feelings, and spirit because these issues are rooted in an energy imbalance. Reiki sessions are also available as a method of therapy in many hospitals. It can help speed up the healing process of patients taking chemotherapy or recovering from diseases, injuries, or procedures.

Reiki practitioners, on the other hand, do not administer drugs or have medical care.  It is a method of channeling positive energy into living beings that requires extensive research to completely master and adjust its ability to each person and circumstance.

What works for one individual should not be suitable for another. It all depends on the situation, which may include energetic field responsiveness, auric tension, Chakra directional changes, and so on. Reiki has been shown to alleviate the effects of a wide variety of diseases, without being too clinical.

What distinguishes Reiki from other types of energy healing?

There are several different types of energy healing circles. The learner cultivates healing energy, stores it, and then channels it into another person or living creature through artifacts, talismans, breathwork, movement, or various forms of energy manifestation. This is a time-consuming technique that can take months or even years to learn with consistent practice.

In Reiki, in order to channel energy, you must have an attunement in your body. Certainly, attunement is beneficial.

Attunements allow a person's energy channels to be balanced and changed without competing with or affecting their own bioenergy. Reiki practitioners use their hands to call upon and channel energies from the outside to cleanse the insides of their bodies.

Do Reiki practitioners have the power to cure themselves?

Of course! This is often the motivation for many healers to get started!

The Reiki practitioners are channeling the Universal Energy, not their own energies, to administer each Reiki session. Any healer, regardless of their own energy level, can perform self-treatments and be their own healer.

That was one of the main reasons I began my healing practice. Like many others, I desired to be free of negativity. The great thing about Reiki is that it is so easy to understand and apply that you can also use Reiki healing for your or other people's pets! And, most importantly, it is efficient!

What if someone doesn't think Reiki is real? Does it still help them?

Universal Energy is universal for a reason: it occurs regardless of someone's core beliefs or belief systems.

Reiki does not require an individual to trust in its effectiveness in order to work. Reiki works with believers and non-believers alike.

Reiki is a kind of energy healing that can be used by people of all faiths, religions, sects, and belief systems. It is a healing practice rather than a religious practice.

Can I only get a session where the symptom of my pain is located if I'm short on time?

Of course!  Any healing sessions can be done in under 10 minutes depending on the magnitude of the discomfort, problem, or source. That's really true and powerful too.

Reiki therapies for the whole body are something I will always advocate for. If you do, you'll feel more energized, balanced, and recharged. What is the reason for this?

When you release Reiki energy to flow through the Chakras, you achieve equilibrium both inside and between them. This is an important concept to remember while doing Reiki, as failing to do so can cause harm to others.

I've seen numerous examples where someone has a specific illness or disability that requires healing, but the pain has spread to other areas. To put it another way, just because 80% of the symptoms occur in one place doesn't mean you can focus solely on it.

Obviously, you must prioritize the areas of the body that are the most painful but don't hesitate to do a body scan every now and again, otherwise, you or your client will have to suffer from the injury's negative consequences.

Bear in mind that working with Reiki means working directly with energy. Reiki can help to relax the body's energy, but it requires a complete operation. There isn't enough energy in one place when there is so much energy in another.

A drain clog is a good analogy. If the energy isn't flowing properly through the channel and it's backing up, you can't simply remove the clog, you have to make sure that the odds of the clog happening again are minimized.

Reiki energy fills in the holes, allowing stagnant or agitated energy to pass through a cleansing level. Another point to keep in mind is that pain does not necessarily be where it is perceived.

Headaches are a good example of this. It can be intuitive that pain is localized in the Crown or Third-Eye Chakras, but it's possible you'll discover it's in the Heart Chakra.

Providing a thorough treatment allows you to reliably diagnose the source of the discomfort and administer Reiki therapy to the right place. After that, you can focus your energy on that specific spot.

To put it another way, there are times when channeling energy into a certain position is the only option but first, you must determine the cause of the discomfort. Otherwise, you run the risk of exacerbating the problem.
