This page records one Karuna Ki Level Two ritual sequence. Karuna Ki lineages and teachers vary, and the listed symbols are part of this tradition's practice. The ritual may be meaningful as spiritual practice; its steps do not guarantee healing, a particular experience, or a permanent ability.
Before beginning, explain the ceremony and ask separately about each action, including proximity, touch, moving the student's hands, eye contact, or any breath-related ritual. Offer a hands-off option for every step. The student may skip a step or stop at any time. Keep the student clothed and do not touch the face, head, neck, chest, or other sensitive areas. No spiritual belief overrides a person's stated choice.
Karuna Ki Level Two Attunement
This version names Om, the Tibetan Master Symbol, Usui symbols, Zonar, Halu, Harth, Rama, Gnosa, Kriya, Shanti, Iava, Dumo, Fire Serpent, and Raku. Some practitioners draw or visualize symbols in the air as part of the ceremony; the student may observe, participate in their own way, or decline.
Preparation
A practitioner may set an intention around compassion and visualize symbols in the space or on their own palms. The student can choose a comfortable position and whether to close their eyes or use Gassho. Prayer, guides, angels, and other spiritual language may be included only if welcome to the student.
Behind the student
In this lineage sequence, practitioners may visualize the Fire Serpent and Usui Power Symbol along the back, then name the Tibetan Master Symbol, Usui Dai Ko Mio, and Om. Keep all gestures at a distance; do not trace the spine, hold a pelvic-floor contraction, manipulate the student's hands, or blow toward the head. If Violet Breath is meaningful to the practitioner, it can remain a private visualization with ordinary breathing.
Symbols Zonar, Harth, Halu, and Rama may be named or traced in the air as the practitioner imagines the sequence. Do not touch the shoulders, face, or prayer hands.
In front of the student
This sequence also includes Om, Dumo, Fire Serpent, Zonar, Harth, Halu, and Rama at the palms, third-eye area, and heart. A hands-off version can trace them in the air at a comfortable distance, or the student may trace symbols on their own hands. There is no need to move the student's hands, ask for eye contact, touch the chest, or claim that a symbol enters the body.
Some teachers use language of loving compassion, including references to God or Kuan Yin. Offer such an affirmation only if the student wants it; it should not promise physical, emotional, cognitive, or spiritual healing. A closing Om, V-shaped hand gesture, or Raku visualization can be included as optional ritual elements.
Summing-Up
This is presented as the second Karuna Ki level, following the initial level. The source tradition associates this level with a second set of symbols, including Gnosa, Kriya, Iava, and Shanti. Students can learn how their own teacher uses those symbols without treating the ceremony as a test or guaranteed outcome.
What Level Two adds
The second level in this lineage introduces another group of symbols and a longer ritual sequence. The new names are not simply "stronger" versions of the first set; they are associated with different themes, such as insight, balance, peace and change. Those associations are part of the tradition's symbolic language, not measurable properties.
Practically, Level Two is a chance to become more comfortable with the shape of a ceremony. A student who has already sat through Level One knows what it feels like to have someone move around them and to be invited into a visualization. Level Two gives them another opportunity to notice what they find helpful, what they would rather decline, and how they want to practise afterwards.
A hands-off walkthrough
If you want to learn the sequence without touch, the structure is still clear:
- Prepare. Explain the steps, agree on a stop signal, and let the student choose their seat and hand position.
- Settle. Sit or stand at a comfortable distance and visualise the opening symbols in the air or on your own palms.
- Work behind. Name or trace the symbols above the student's back at a distance they have agreed to. Do not trace the spine or hold a contraction.
- Work in front. Draw the symbols above the palms, third-eye area and heart at a comfortable distance, or invite the student to trace them on their own hands.
- Close. Use a quiet pause, a spoken closing if the student wants one, and a clear thank-you. Do not announce a permanent change or a title.
A hands-off version is not a lesser version. It asks the practitioner to be precise with gesture and clear with language, which is useful practice in its own right.
Afterwards
The student may feel relaxed, emotional, restless or unchanged. Leave room for any of those responses, and avoid interpreting them as evidence that the attunement did or did not "work". If they want to continue, point them toward the next level's material and encourage them to practise the symbols they have learned before collecting more.
