This page describes the Reiki-related services listed by the school. These are optional paid sessions, separate from the free course, free attunements on request and paid course certificates. If you are choosing how often to practise or receive a session, the Reiki treatments guide discusses that decision.
Before ordering, ask support@freereikicourse.com about the format, availability, duration and scheduling of the service you want. The names below describe spiritual practices and traditions; they are not diagnoses or promises of a health outcome. NCCIH's Reiki overview explains that Reiki has not been clearly shown effective for health-related purposes. Continue appropriate medical or mental-health care.
Traditional Reiki Treatment
Traditional Reiki uses a sequence of hand positions on or above the body. One teaching sequence has fifteen positions: five around the head, five on the front and five on the back. Sequences vary between teachers, and a session can be adapted to a person's comfort and mobility.
For an in-person session, agree the proposed areas before any contact; you can choose hovering, skip a position or stop. A distance session involves no physical contact. Ask which format is offered before purchasing. Some practitioners include chakra symbolism or mental/emotional intentions; these are spiritual frameworks rather than evidence about cells, DNA or a person's health.
Sekhem Reiki Treatments
Sekhem is described in this school's earlier teaching as a spiritual energy practice associated with compassion, unconditional love and personal reflection. Some practitioners use feminine or Goddess imagery to express its meaning; you do not need to adopt that imagery to ask what a session involves.
The practice may include quiet attention to an intention or an aspect of life you want to reflect on. You decide what to share. A practitioner should respect your boundaries, and there is no required emotional response or promise that difficult experiences will be resolved.
Descriptions of soul-level work or subtle bodies belong to the tradition's beliefs. They do not establish that Sekhem is stronger than other practices or that it treats trauma, illness or psychological conditions.
Karuna Reiki Treatments
Karuna Reiki™ is a Reiki tradition centred on compassion, with its own symbols and teaching practices. Practitioners sometimes describe its experience as surrounding or grounding; these are personal descriptions, not a measurable comparison of power with Usui Reiki.
Ask the teacher which practices are included. If chanting, imagery or another ritual is proposed, participation is optional. You can prefer a quiet session and do not need to feel a particular sensation.
Psychic Surgery Treatments
The name “psychic surgery” here refers to a Reiki-associated visualization ritual, not surgery. It does not cut the body, remove tissue or replace medical treatment. In this tradition, practitioners describe unwanted feelings or concerns symbolically as energy blocks.
Someone might choose a personal intention for the ritual, such as reflecting on a habit or a difficult situation. Imagining a shape or releasing it is a symbolic exercise; it does not locate a physical abnormality in an organ, identify the cause of illness or confirm that a problem has been treated.
Discuss the proposed ritual and your boundaries beforehand. You may decline imagery, personal disclosures or touch. Persistent distress, addiction or relationship safety concerns call for appropriate professional help rather than an explanation based on energy blocks.
Distance Healing Treatments
A distance healing treatment is a Reiki session in which the practitioner and recipient are in different places. The school's earlier teaching describes a focused ritual using Tibetan Master symbols. This is the tradition's account of its practice, not evidence that energy travels between people or resolves a particular issue.
You can choose an intention or simply take quiet time, if that is the format you agree with the teacher. Your direct permission matters even when there is no touch. A quiet or uneventful experience is not a failure.
This purchase is a distance healing session, not an attunement or a certificate. Buying a session does not confer Reiki training or a diploma. For the separately listed one-session and five-session distance-healing offers, see the Reiki store.
