Alternative Ways Of Using The Hands With Reiki

What Are The Alternative Ways Of Using The Hands With Reiki?

As an alternative ways of using the hands with Reiki treatment, the following approaches can all be employed to offer additional stimulation with Reiki on the physical body in the regions where you identified energy disturbances when scanning. The Reiki will continue to flow via your hands (palms and fingers) for the client's benefit as you do these procedures. If your client has previously received a typical Reiki treatment, they may not anticipate much more than their hands being held still, so it's a good idea to explain what you want to do.

Dr. Usui's instruction handbook, the Usui Reiki Hikkei, claims that while Reiki may be felt in all body regions, the hands, eyes, and breath are where the energy is most concentrated. I'm sure you've already observed this. For instance, I often feel Reiki coming from my feet, hands, and chakras on my brow, heart, and solar plexus, to name a few places.

Uchi-Te Chiryo-Ho

The name Uchi-te Chiryo-ho means:

Uchi: strike, hit, knock, pound

Te: hand

Chiryo: medical treatment

This is a hand-patting method that may be utilized for numbness, stagnation, and blockage of energy and promote more mobility and flow of energy. It can be administered at any point in the therapy, although it may be most effective near the conclusion when the patient is in a more relaxed condition and ready to awaken.

  • Start with a mild pat and gradually increase the force until it feels like a soft slapping. - Use a forceful yet delicate motion (not harsh enough to hurt) to massage the affected region. Keep going until you get the feeling that it's time to move on to something else (probably between 30 seconds and a minute).
  • Reflexology may more rapidly and readily break down blockages by stimulating the physical body's cells as well as its energy flow.
  • Gassho - End with a respectful bow and express gratitude for the Reiki you've received.

Nade-Te Chiryo-Ho

The name Nade-te Chiryo-ho means:

Nade: stroke, pat, smooth down

Te: hand

Chiryo: medical treatment

Ho: treatment, method, way

Stroking the body in this way stimulates both a stronger flow of natural energy and a faster and easier penetration by Reiki of the body. A lot of people find this approach to be quite calming and relaxing. Note that the client does not need to remove any clothing for this, as the action is more akin to stroking as opposed to massage.)

  • Your hands should be flat and resting on the body. You can use Reiki to help the energy flow by gently stroking your hands in a downward motion for about 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 in) at a time, avoiding tickling. Clients should be treated in this manner either on their front or back, starting at their shoulders and working their way down to their fingers (but not the breasts, if treating the front of the body on a female). Finally, apply mild rubbing with the hands over the entire body from the waist to the toes (avoid the genital area).
  • Use the same stroking technique all over the body, being careful not to touch any sensitive places while going from left to right.
  • Gassho - End with a respectful bow and express gratitude for the Reiki you've received.

Oshi-Te Chiryo-Ho

The name Oshi-te Chiryo-ho means:

Oshi: push, pressure

Te: hand

Chiryo: medical treatment

Ho: treatment, method, way

An effective way to release energy blockages or stagnation is by applying mild pressure with the fingertips and softly but firmly pressing them into the affected areas. Of course, care must be given not to push too hard and to be conscious of the demand for short nails. Even though it may be used at any time, it is best employed towards the beginning or finish of a treatment to avoid disturbing the client while they are more relaxed.

  • Apply pressure to the portion of your body that is stiff or where you feel a blockage by placing your fingertips (typically two on each hand or one hand only) or the tips of your thumbs on the area. Intentionally apply a small amount of pressure to the spot, allowing Reiki to flow through the fingers and treat or break up energy blocks.
  • Gently vibrate or spin your fingers/thumbs back and forth, sending Reiki through the fingertips to release particularly resistant tight shoulders or painful muscles.
  • Gassho—say thank you for the Reiki, and bow your head in reverence.

Furthermore, it should be kept in mind that these treatments should not be performed on any delicate parts of the body in terms of physiological or social sensitivity. These techniques (as well as all of Reiki's) do not require the receiver to take their clothes off since the energy goes straight through them, just as it does when your hands are motionless.

Guided Meditation To Help Heal The Shadow Self Can Change Your Life

The shadow self refers to the aspects of ourselves that have been repressed into the unconscious — the aspects of ourselves that we are insecure about, ashamed of, or frustrated with. The goal of integrative and functional medicine is to get to the root cause of health problems and treat the whole person with a combination of approaches—optimizing health for those who have it and restoring health for those who have lost it.
