Koki-HoGyoshi-HoTanden (Tan-Dien) Chiryo-HoHeso Chiryo-HoNentatsu-Ho

This is the best alternative techniques for using Reiki during treatment. If you feel the traditional way is ineffective, you can use it.

Koki-Ho

Koki-ho means:

Koki: exhalation, breath, breathing

Ho: treatment, method, way

It's a fantastic approach to send healing energy through your breath if your clients can't or won't be handled due to injuries like burns. This approach is available at any time throughout a Reiki session. If you're blowing into someone's face, employ a nice breath. In addition, there are times when you desire to transfer Reiki to someone or something else. Remember to picture an appropriate symbol, usually the Power Symbol, pouring out with each breath while silently repeating its chant.

  • For a few breaths, purse your lips into an O shape. Imagine drawing Reiki into your body and exhaling it as you inhale. Embrace Koki-ho when your chest, throat, nose, and mouth become hot.
  • Exhale slowly and steadily through your mouth, keeping your lips in an O shape.
  • Spend one or two minutes on each region that requires this type of therapy.
  • Gassho - express gratitude for the Reiki and concludes with a respectful bow.

Gyoshi-Ho

Gyoshi-ho means:

Gyoshi: gaze, stare, fixation

Ho: treatment, method, way

Because it is so simple, this way of sending healing with the eyes may be utilized at any point during a Reiki treatment, for first aid, or for any other general purpose, including curing burns or non-touchable ailments. Unfocused gaze is soothing when accompanied with love, compassion, and Reiki. When practicing Gyoshi-ho, it is crucial not to gaze or focus too intently. A mild, unfocused stare at the spot is all that is necessary.

  • Breathe gently and deeply for a few seconds, then stare at the location where you desire to give Reiki, letting your eyes defocus and soften. Imagining love Reiki energy pouring into the receiver, “seeing” the perfect, entire, and balanced.
  • The symbol will go to the cause of the ailment for the highest and greatest welfare of the receiver. Your client will perceive that this approach highlights the loving character of Reiki.
  • This stage of the therapy should last one or two minutes until you feel directed to transfer your sight to a different place.
  • Gassho - express gratitude for the Reiki and concludes with a respectful bow.

Tanden (Tan-Dien) Chiryo-Ho

Tanden Chiryo-ho means:

Tanden: energy vessel

Chiryo: medical treatment

Ho: treatment, method, way

This is a strong approach for detoxifying the physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Additives, preservatives, other chemicals, and odors can obstruct the liver and its energy equivalent, the solar plexus chakra. Destructive ideas and old habits of conduct can contaminate the brow chakra/mind, while bad emotions like wrath or sadness can block the heart chakra/heart. Be careful that this therapy typically causes an intense desire to go to the toilet, so drink lots of water for a day or two after that! I recommend practicing this first in self-healing to know how beneficial it is and share it with future clients.

  • Relax and center yourself with your hands in the Gassho position, allowing your mind to settle. Then, quietly state to yourself, "I begin Tanden Chiryo-ho now."
  • Placing one hand on the Tan-dien, 2 to 5 cm (1 to 2 in) below the navel, and the other on the brow (third eye) chakra, and letting the energy grow in your hands. As soon as you're ready, quietly ask Reiki to gently drain any poisons or toxins from your physical and energetic systems (sometimes it is better to hold the hands slightly away from the body).
  • Take your hand off your forehead and place it on top of your other hand on your Tan-dien. Allow Reiki to flow into you for 15-30 minutes.
  • Gassho - express gratitude for the Reiki and concludes with a respectful bow.

Heso Chiryo-Ho

Heso Chiryo-ho means:

Heso: navel

Chiryo: medical treatment

Ho: treatment, method, way

This method is particularly beneficial since it acts on the navel, which is recognized as the body's energy center (home of Tan-dien/Hara/the sacral chakra) in Eastern medicine. This approach directs Reiki into the Tan-dien to balance and harmonize the Ki flow. Aortic pulse (blood flow) may also be noticed deep inside the body at this point. It requires you to perceive the body's energetic pulse—the ebb and flow of Ki—which may take some experience. The steps are the same for self-healing and dealing with clients. If you desire to boost the quantity of Reiki flowing into your navel, you can place a Power Symbol in your palm.

  • Relax your body and mind by focusing on your hands in the Gassho position. So ask for Reiki to flow into you to assist profound healing for your best good. “I begin Heso Chiryo-ho now,” say quietly.
  • With one hand (generally your dominant hand), place your middle finger into your navel to sense your energy pulse. (You may also place your other hand on your heart chakra if you desire.) Feel your pulse harmonizing and balancing with Reiki as it begins to connect with Universal life-force energy.
  • Hold this posture for 5–10 minutes until you feel calm and balanced, then withdraw your finger from your navel.
  • Gassho—thanks for the Reiki and a respectful bow.

Nentatsu-Ho

Nentatsu-ho means:

Nen: sense, idea, thought, feeling, desire, concern, attention, care

Tatsu: discontinue, sever, cut off, abstain, interrupt, suppress, beyond

Ho: treatment, method, way

This strategy can help you overcome negative habits, reduce negativity, attain objectives, study, or even overcome disease. It uses Reiki and affirmations to gradually remodel your mind (or a client's subconscious). Repeat this workout daily until you reach your goal.

  • Choose something you want to work on and write a positive affirmation about it in the present tense, as if you've already accomplished it. I am confident and accomplished; I am my ideal weight; I look and feel wonderful; my career is meaningful and rewarding; my life is cheerful and plentiful; and my relationships are happy and loving.
  • Sit or lie comfortably, close your eyes, and breathe slowly and steadily.

“I begin Nentatsu-ho now,” you repeat silently to yourself as you focus yourself with your hands in the Gassho posture.  - Place one hand on the brow (third eye) chakra and the other over the base of the skull.

  • Ask Reiki to assist you reach your goals, based on the subject you've chosen to focus on. Add “for my best and greatest good.” Recite your affirmation(s) aloud for five minutes, feeling the Reiki pouring into you and your goals and objectives.
  • Remove your hand from your brow chakra and place it on the back of your head. Spend five minutes imagining yourself when you have achieved your objective or broken a negative habit. Imagine how you would feel, what you can accomplish, etc.

Remember to always end your session in gassho and in a respectful bow to give respect and thanks to Reiki.

Chanting And Toning With Karuna Reiki

The Karuna Reiki experience taught me that toning or chanting during a Karuna Reiki session causes profound shifts in the healing energy's vibrational frequency. The Mahayana Buddhist tradition of the bodhisattva Avalokitesvhara, who creates the Sound that Illuminates the World, validates this notion.

The Ethics Of Distant Reiki Healing

The Second Degree procedures teach you how to transmit powerful healing to anybody, anywhere, at any time, including the past and future. Using the Distant (Connection) Symbol helps you to construct a bridge between you and the person (or animal) you wish to heal.

Guided Meditation To Help Heal The Shadow Self Can Change Your Life

The shadow self refers to the aspects of ourselves that have been repressed into the unconscious — the aspects of ourselves that we are insecure about, ashamed of, or frustrated with. The shadow self-concept is based on the idea that we metaphorically bury those aspects of our personalities that we fear will not be accepted, accepted, or loved by others; thus, we keep them in the shadows.

Integrative And Functional Medicine —Personalized Care For The 21st Century

The goal of integrative and functional medicine is to get to the root cause of health problems and treat the whole person with a combination of approaches—optimizing health for those who have it and restoring health for those who have lost it. Integrative medicine and functional medicine are often used interchangeably, but the terms are actually referring to two different approaches to patient care.

The Karuna Reiki Attunements

A common belief is that compassionate action is captured in this non-traditional form of Reiki. When used in conjunction with Usui Reiki, it has a powerful effect on its own, but even more so.

Karuna Master Symbols and Their Uses

Other healing systems incorporate the Karuna Reiki Master symbols. For instance, The International Center for Reiki Training incorporates the Usui Dai Ko Myo, Tibetan Dai Ko Mio, and Tibetan Fire Serpent into our Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master Training.

Possible Side Effects Of A Karuna Reiki Attunement

Becoming a Reiki practitioner with the ability to heal oneself and others is a beautiful path that allows you to make a difference in the world. While it is exciting to receive an attunement in order to increase your frequency and connection to the universal life force energy, these attunements come at a cost.

The Traditional Karuna Reiki Attunements

Karuna is typically only taught to Usui Reiki Master practitioners. There are four levels of Karuna instruction. There are four levels of mastery in this system: two for practitioners and two for masters.

Original Karuna Attunements - The Sai Baba Reiki Attunements

For those wishing to view the original Sai Baba attunement process in order to compare it to later attunements, these are included for informational purposes only. You will notice a resemblance between these and the attunements developed later.
