This page presents an angel-centered spiritual perspective on Reiki. Some practitioners include angels in their beliefs or imagery; others do not. You do not need to share this belief to learn about Reiki.
One devotional way to describe Reiki is:
- Reiki is love.
- Reiki is harmony.
- Reiki brings balance.
These are spiritual expressions, not guaranteed health outcomes.
An angel-centered Reiki perspective
In this perspective, a practitioner may pray or visualize angelic guidance. This is a personal spiritual practice, not a universal Reiki requirement or evidence of an angelic intervention.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese spiritual practice. Some practitioners describe a universal life-force energy, but this proposed energy field has not been scientifically demonstrated, and Reiki has not been clearly shown effective for any health-related purpose (NCCIH). A person may choose Reiki alongside other care for spiritual or personal reasons; it should not replace or delay qualified health care.
What is Reiki not?
Reiki is taught in different ways, and people hold different religious or spiritual beliefs around it. Ask a teacher how they approach angels, prayer, and other spiritual ideas; you can decide what fits you. Schools also use different levels and certificates. You do not have to advance to another level, and a title does not replace respectful practice or appropriate qualifications for other work.
